By John Gibson. Venue 139 Central at Assembly Roxy

Rob Auton indulges in flights of fancy.  This is ironic because the premise of this year’s show is that he is an estate agent on Jupiter telling a prospective buyer about Earth.  You might presume that this is just a way to give structure to his surreal observations and wholesome rambling but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Since it was my first time seeing him I can’t help but feel that he would have got more laughs by focusing on the material.  He seemed to understand this himself when he explained to a very appreciative audience (in a horribly sweaty room) that the weirdest heckle he ever got was ‘You’re better than you think you are!’.
