By John Gibson. Venue 59 – Auditorium at Edinburgh Playhouse

When performing in a venue this size, it is important that acts calibrate their shows accordingly. Bailey is supported with suitable tech and gig-quality audio (the bulk of the show has music) and a nice big screen. This is non-negotiable. And whilst he has written some clever material about our modern plight, it is obvious that he is happiest when leading the audience in song or explaining the power of certain chords. The Bluetooth musical balls (that play different instruments when struck) are an inspired idea for a show that could perhaps be called Mr Music
