A runner’s battle to attain Olympic glory (whilst managing the limitations of the sabbath), seems a most appropriate show for this church venue. Searchlight Theatre Company have been touring this show since 2012 and have created a well-honed and paced retelling of history with a mostly convincing cast. If there any uneven moments they are contained in the structure of the play, which fizzles out with a very predictable Liddell epitaph, following some Vangelis scored commentary.
